Simple Inexpensive
 Equipment for Quality
 Concrete Construction

Presented by Luke M. Snell, P.E. FACI

This presentation will include four (4) types of equipment that can be used to solve many issues in concrete construction.

The Equipment:

1. Infrared thermometer

We will review that these thermometers can provide temperature control in concrete production.

2. Hand Held Weather Station

We will learn about plastic shrinkage cracks and how hand held weather stations can help prevent them.

3. Metal Locator

We will determine how to locate reinforcements in concrete using metal locators.

4. Rebound Hammer

We will learn how the rebound hammer can be used to estimate concrete strength.

This hands-on presentation will discuss how the equipment can be used to prevent and/or evaluate construction problems.  Each registrant will receive a CD with equipment information included as well as a binder with the full presentation.
